Rowley Farmhouse Ales
Santa Fe New Mexico
This core series for Rowley Farmhouse Ales blends rustic inspiration with contemporary design to reflect the brewery’s deep roots in tradition and innovation. Each label was carefully crafted to visually express the distinct identity of the beer while maintaining a cohesive brand system.
Embedded within each label is a subtle tribute to the spirit of the Grateful Dead—from dancing figures and cosmic motifs to skeletons and radiant suns—infusing the lineup with a playful, psychedelic undertone that reflects Rowley’s countercultural charm and musical soul.
• The Maize Never Stopped – A crushable corn lager featuring a skeletal maize goddess, referencing both agrarian myth and classic Dead iconography.
• Fields of Rye – A French-style saison brewed with rye, illustrated with a contemplative harvester bathed in light, echoing folk art traditions and themes of working-class reverence found in Dead lore.
• Germophile – A Berliner-style Weissbier alive with whimsical, dancing microbes and a blooming rose—an homage to community, fermentation, and the Dead’s signature floral symbolism.
• IPA – A hop-forward classic with a stylized hop cone at center stage, encircled by sunbursts and symmetrical forms that echo vintage gig poster aesthetics.
Designed with a modular layout and recurring visual motifs—cross shapes, radiant suns, and organic symmetry—this lineup creates a brand system that is instantly recognizable while allowing each beer’s personality to shine. The result is a collection that celebrates farmhouse tradition with a free-spirited twist, much like the music that inspired it.
